Keynote Speaker Dr. Valerie Martinez-Ebers

Dr. Martinez-Ebers will be speaking on Women Voting Behaviors over the previous three election cycles. Learn about key issues driving women's political behavior, including issues impacting women of color and women's issues.


BIO: Dr. Valerie Martinez-Ebers (Ph.D. from Ohio State University) is an expert on the political behavior of women and persons of color. A distinguished research professor of Political Science and Director of the Latina(o) and Mexican American Studies Program at the University of North Texas, Dr. Martinez-Ebers is a former Vice-President of the American Political Science Association and a former President of the Western Political Science Association.


From 2012-2016, she served as Co-Editor of the American Political Science Review, the flagship journal in political science.  Dr. Martinez-Ebers has published widely on a variety of topics, including six books and articles in all the top journals of her discipline. She also edited Perspectives on Race, Ethnicity and Religion: Identity Politics, an anthology that examines the history, dynamics and policy issues of minority groups in the United States.
