In Texas, there are 79,000 youth victims of sex trafficking. This astounding crime against the most vulnerable demands our strategic and devoted response. When leaders from across the legal, medical, social services, and education sectors stand together, we can provide more effective protection for kids in our community and make trafficking a high risk crime for perpetrators. Unbound Now is one of the nation's leading agencies in the fight against human trafficking. From the moment a victim is recovered through the journey towards healing, justice, and restoration, Unbound Now's specially trained Advocates are there every step of the way. We hope you will join us in the fight for freedom and hope.

Allison Byrd, J.D., serves as Unbound Now's Director of Government and International Relations, development relationships that support the organization's federal appropriations work. She led the organization's response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis in 2022, addressing risks of human trafficking at the Poland-Ukraine border. Prior to working for Unbound Now, Allison interned in the White House in the Office of Economic Initiatives. This office oversaw the White House Human Trafficking Summit, the roll-out of related executive actions, and the annual meeting of the President's Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Human Trafficking. Allison graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in International Affairs and from the Texas A&M University School of Law.
